Home-stage your property for a quicker sale

Believe it or not a prospective homebuyer makes a decision to buy within five seconds of walking into your house.  Home-staging is the process of getting your house ready to sell and insuring that it not only sells but sells fast, especially in todays slow market.  Why is hiring a professional home stager a good idea?  Because home-staging takes both creative skill and practical techniques.  A home stager isn’t emotionally attached to the house or the furnishings and can honestly access with a trained eye what the homebuyer is looking for. 

Depending on your level of need, home-staging can include:

Do-It-Yourself Home-staging Consultation:  This is the service to start with if you are the handy type and just need a professional stager to send you in the right direction.  A home-staging consultation is a complete walk-through of your home and addresses all areas of concern whether it’s painting, carpeting, yard appeal, clutter, or re-decorating.  I will create a simple checklist for you to follow and you’ll learn all the tricks of the trade to home-staging.  I will even give you personal tips on how to best show your home to potential buyers.  Of course, if you decide, I can help you hire out any items on the checklist.   I’m here to guide you and can be as involved in the process as you want me to be.  

Clearing of Clutter:  This is the most crucial and time consuming part of home-staging.  The good news is that you don’t have to go through years of accumulation alone.  I’m here to help you.  I’ll help you sort through and determine which of your personal items to keep and which to give away or toss.  My clients often express feeling much “lighter” mentally and emotionally after purging themselves of clutter.

Organizing and Packing:  Once the clutter has been cleared, it’s time to organize what’s left.  This includes packing up and storing items not cohesive to selling your home.  I can help you do this with the added bonus of making unpacking in your new residence much easier!   

Home-staging Room Re-arranges and Final Touches:  I’ll re-design and re-arrange your existing pieces, or "borrow" things from other rooms.   I will re-arrange a room (or several rooms) to improve the function, design and overall appeal.   It’s important to have a décor that appeals to the widest possible range of homebuyers.  This means putting away personal items and re-decorating in a way that will help prospective buyers imagine their furnishings, not yours, in the house.  My specialty is making the most out of what you have with just a few additions, if necessary, to set your home apart from the rest.   

Move-In Unpacking and Organizing:  Helping you organize efficiently as you unpack into your new home. 

Move-In Arranging and Decorating:  Placing your furniture and accessories to create functional, attractive and inviting spaces you will use and enjoy.

Personal Shopping:  I will do your shopping for you, from storage containers to decorative items; I am there for you so you can return to your normal routine.
